3D Performance with ARMA II Demo

If you’ve grown tired of the fast-paced yet linear style of military shooters like Call of Duty 4 and want to step up to something more realistic with more open world exploration, Bohemia Interactive's latest tactical simulation, ARMA II is a compelling alternative. Just be prepared to spend an hour or two getting familiar with the game’s controls: when we say this game is a sim, we mean it. If you’re the type who misses the days when sims from companies like Microprose, Spectrum Holobyte, and Jane’s Longbow series were the norm rather than the exception, you’ll feel right at home with ARMA II (with the only omission being the 200-page manuals that shipped with the aforementioned games).

I feel like I am in the twilight zone. Am I the only one who thinks its graphics are "meh" at best?

I hate articles like this which mention things rather than just showing us the proof. Why is there no SLI results? Just a blurb about how SLI didn't offer much improvement (which is BS). It was choppy for me with one 260GTX but I maxed all the details and 4xAA with SLI and it was much smoother; my SLI rig is nothing special so I'd like to have seen some benchmarks with dual gpu setups.

From what I recall, the graphics quality in the demo was inconsistent, kind of like a bastard child of Crysis and Stalker. Vehicle interiors were nothing special but I found some of the game looked great once you got out into the open and battles were raging. The videos I've seen looked even better with airplanes and helicopters in the battles but I haven't seen this yet.
