Spore (PC) Review @ GamingHeaven

Maxis are responsible for many addictive PC games, Simcity and the Sims are the first that spring to mind. Spore, however is their most ambitious project so far as you take control of a lifeform as it evolves from a cellular organism to the end result of being capable of intergalactic space travel. Is the game a classic however or just a rather nice diversion?

Very nice review, I've been waiting for this one. Might have to check the budget and pick the game up tomorrow. My kids might get more use out of it than I will, but who knows.

Nice, appreciate the thorough review - and this game obviously can remain playable for years. Heavenly Gold Award?

I am buying this one, thanks!

Oh my! Might we see some custom creations by our one and only Master Designer?

I decided to uninstall spore today, as my dvd burner stopped working after I installed it and I even got some BSoD's. Uninstalling spore and cleaning up after securom, and now my burner works again.

Great game, though not THAT good, lousy DRM system by EA *sigh*

Yard Waste is on a distinguished road

One of the few favourable reviews I have read about the game. Of course the DRM is completely ignored, the inability to have others in the family have a separate game accounts so they can play there own game (yep buy the game for each member of the family that wants to play their own creature). Quick question--why did you chose to ignore these intrusive measures that restrict usage? Lots of other reviews do not ignore them nor do they concur with the favourable review that was offered here.
